JUDGE K. SHAWN PATTEN
Judge K. Shawn Patten was appointed to the Utah County Justice Court bench in January 2022. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in 1986, and a Masters of Business Administration in 1988. He worked many years as a design engineering supervisor in both Utah and Saudi Arabia. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nevada in 2003. He served several courts in Utah County as a full-time public defender for over seventeen years prior to his appointment.
