The Utah Judiciary is aware of a scam involving text messages that falsely appear to come from the courts and demand payment through links or QR codes. These messages are not legitimate - courts do not request payments this way, and individuals should not respond or provide any personal or financial information.

JUDGE JEREMIAH HUMES

Judge Jeremiah C. Humes was appointed to the Seventh District Court in January 2020 by Governor Gary R. Herbert. He serves Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan Counties. He presides over the Emery County Adult Treatment Court. He also serves on the Court's Standing Education Committee, co-chairs the Utah State Bar's New Lawyer Training Program Committee, and is a member of the Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice.    3/26
