JUDGE REUBEN J. RENSTROM

Judge Reuben J. Renstrom was appointed to the Second District Court in March 2019 by Gov. Gary R. Herbert. He serves Davis, Morgan, and Weber counties. After receiving a bachelor's degree from Weber State University, he earned a law degree from the University of Kansas. Prior to becoming a judge he maintained a general litigation and mediation practice with the law firm Helgesen, Waterfall, and Jones, while concurrently teaching constitutional law as an adjunct professor in the Criminal Justice Department at Weber State University. Preceding his appointment to the district court, he served as a Justice Court Judge for the cities of Harrisville, Riverdale, South Ogden, South Weber, and Woods Cross. Judge Renstrom formerly sat on the Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure, the Technology Committee, and as education director for the Justice Courts in the Second Judicial District. In 2011, he was elected to the Board of Justice Court Judges, and later chaired the Board for four consecutive terms. 7/19
