JUSTICE MICHAEL R. MENSSEN
Justice Michael R. Menssen was appointed to the Utah Supreme Court on August 28, 2026 by Governor Spencer J. Cox. At the time of his appointment, Justice Menssen was a parter with the MayerBrown practicing Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Employment Litigation, Commercial and complex matters in federal and state court. Justice Menssen was named by the Utah Business Magazine as a 2025 “Legal Elite” in Utah. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif and was on the Managing Board for the Virginia Law Review. 9/26
