JUDGE RYAN PETERS

Judge Ryan Peters was appointed to the Fourth District Juvenile Court Bench by Governor Spencer Cox in October 2023.  He earned a bachelor degree from Weber State University in 2001 and a Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University School of Law in 2005.  During law school, Judge Peters clerked for the legal division at National Indemnity Company.  Following graduation, Judge Peters clerked for the judges in the Second District Court.  In 2007, he began serving as a line prosecutor at the Utah County Attorney's Office, eventually moving to the special victims unit.  In 2017, Judge Peters was appointed to fill the vacancy as the Juab County Attorney and was twice elected to that position and served in that position until his appointment to the bench. 1/24
