JUDGE BRENT H. BARTHOLOMEW

Judge Brent H. Bartholomew was appointed by Governor Gary R. Herbert to the Fourth District Juvenile Court in 2013. Prior to taking the bench, he worked at the Utah Office of Guardian ad Litem, Utah Legal Services, and as an adjunct assistant professor for the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Judge Bartholomew hears cases in Provo and Heber City and presides over a Family Treatment Court. He is certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children. Judge Bartholomew serves on the Board of Juvenile Court Judges (Board Chair from 2023–2024), also on the Committee on Court Forms and the Court Improvement Program Training Steering Committee. In 2013, he was named “Mentor of the Year” by the Utah State Bar and in 2006 received the “Child Advocate Award” by the Utah County Child Abuse Council. Judge Bartholomew earned his Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School.  7/2025
