JUDGE RYAN B. EVERSHED
Judge Ryan B. Evershed was appointed to the Second District Juvenile Court in October 2024 by Gov. Spencer J. Cox. Prior to his appointment to the Second District, Judge Evershed served in the Eighth District Juvenile Court, having been appointed in August 2013 by Gov. Gary R. Herbert. Before joining the bench, Judge Evershed represented the Child Protection Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office in cases involving child abuse, neglect, and dependency. In 2008, Judge Evershed opened his own practice, specializing in family, criminal, and juvenile law, and also served as a public defender in Juvenile Court. Judge Evershed has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Utah Judicial Council from 2018 to 2024 and the Juvenile Court Board, where he served a term as chair. Judge Evershed received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. 6/26
