Judge Mark Flores

Mark Flores was appointed to the Bench to serve in the South Salt Lake Justice Court in February 2025. Mr. Flores is a first-generation college graduate who received his undergraduate degree from Utah State University and his law degree from the Howard University School of Law. Admitted to the Utah Bar in 1999, with his legal career spanning two decades, Mr. Flores has represented individuals, corporations, and organizations in justice, district, and juvenile courts throughout Utah. Mr. Flores previously served as an Assistant Salt Lake County Attorney assigned to the Major Crimes Unit, and as a public defender in the Eighth District Court from 2018 through 2023.
