PRESIDING JUDGE JERI ALLPHIN
Judge Jeri L. Allphin was appointed to the Daggett County Justice Court in January 2022. Judge Allphin earned her Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1998. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk in the Fourth District Court from 1998 to 1999. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Utah Valley University in 1995, graduating summa cum laude as the valedictorian of the University's first bachelor's degree class. After law school, Judge Allphin practiced with the Esplin & Weight Law Firm, where she focused on family law, criminal defense, business law, and bankruptcy matters. In 2003, she joined Utah Valley University as their Alumni Director and later advanced to serve as Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, a position she held until 2016. During this time, she also maintained a private law practice. Judge Allphin and her husband, Don Allphin of Orem, Utah, have four children and 12 grandchildren. They moved to Manila, Daggett County, to retire and enjoy the area's beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. In her free time, Judge Allphin enjoys knitting, quilting, cooking, and traveling.
