COMMISSIONER DUSTIN A. HARDY
Commissioner Dustin A. Hardy was appointed as a domestic relations commissioner in the Fourth District in July 2026. Commissioner Hardy brings a diverse background in finance, law, and family dispute resolution to his service on the bench. Before entering the legal profession, he spent 12 years in banking, including more than eight years in management. He holds Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses and insurance licenses and has extensive experience with investments, retirement accounts, mortgages, underwriting, banking regulations, and negotiable instruments. Commissioner Hardy earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. He founded Choice Legal Services in 2014 and practiced family law before transitioning to full-time family law mediation. As a mediator, he has mediated more than 900 family law cases. His combined experience in finance, family law, and mediation provides Commissioner Hardy with a broad perspective on the financial and personal issues that often arise in family law matters. 9/26
