The Utah Judiciary is aware of a scam involving text messages that falsely appear to come from the courts and demand payment through links or QR codes. These messages are not legitimate - courts do not request payments this way, and individuals should not respond or provide any personal or financial information.

JUDGE MEB W. ANDERSON

Judge Meb W. Anderson was appointed to the Fifth District Court in September 2024 by Governor Spencer J. Cox. He serves Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties. Prior to his appointment, Judge Anderson served at the Utah Attorney General’s Office as Education Division Director and counsel for Southern Utah University, and before that in the Civil Rights Section of the Litigation Division. He has also been an associate at Blaisdell & Church and Stirba & Associates. Judge Anderson graduated from the University of Oregon school of law in 2004. He also has a Master of Public Administration from Southern Utah University.   11/24
