JUDGE L. RACHEL MUNOZ

Judge L. Rachel Munoz was appointed to the Fifth District Court by Governor Spencer J. Cox in June 2026. She serves Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties. Prior to her appointment, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah in the Child and Family Support Division, where she was the Southern Section Director. Prior to her state service, Judge Munoz was a partner at Read & Wright Naegle Jensen and she worked at Utah Legal Services.  Judge Munoz earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, with minors in molecular biology and chemistry, from Brigham Young University and a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law.       9/26
