JUDGE JACK B. BURNS

Judge Jack B. Burns was appointed to the Fifth District Court in April 2026 by Governor Spencer J. Cox. He serves Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties. Prior to his appointment, Judge Burns was an attorney and shareholder at Burns Law Office, P.C. in Cedar City, where he managed a substantial civil and criminal litigation practice. Earlier in his career, Judge Burns served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brent J. Moss, worked as a prosecuting intern, and interned with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Judge Burns earned his juris doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004 and his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University in 2001.     8/26
