JUDGE BRYAN J. PATTISON

Judge Bryan J. Pattison was appointed to the Fifth District Court by Governor Spencer J. Cox in May 2026. He serves Beaver, Iron, and Washington Counties. Judge Pattison graduated cum laude from Westminster College in 1997 and then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was assistant managing editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and graduated with distinction in 2000. After law school, he served as a judicial clerk to Judge Judith Billings on the Utah Court of Appeals. Following his clerkship, Judge Pattison entered private practice focusing on civil litigation and appeals. He spent nearly 20 years with the law firm Durham Jones & Pinegar where he was a shareholder and served as the firm’s litigation section chair. He co-founded the law firm Blanchard Pattison in 2021 where he practiced until his appointment to the bench. Judge Pattison has served on the Utah Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure, the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Appellate Procedure, and the Ethics and Discipline Committee where he was serving as a Vice Chair at the time of his appointment. He also served for over a decade on the Board of Trustees for Utah Legal Services.        7/26
