One of the keys to successful mediation is the ability to see the whole person and the whole case. Strong analytical thinking, current legal knowledge, and an emphasis on accountability together with empathy and patience help me successfully negotiate the thorniest of issues. I have spent hundreds of hours mediating cases involving protective orders, significant trauma, parent-child contact problems, mental health challenges, faith transitions, and neurodiverse participants. As a Master Mediator, I have deep experience working with represented and unrepresented clients in divorce, guardianship, and parentage matters, as well as contract, business, and nonprofit disputes. I’ve previously worked in higher education, research, and nonprofits. I’ve lived in Seattle, Connecticut, Sweden, Romania, and Moldova. Life has taught me a deep respect for individual differences; I believe strongly in self-determination.

I have two degrees from Yale University and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the University of Utah, where I also teach Conflict & Mediation. I am a court-qualified Domestic Mentor. I volunteer with Mountain Mediation Center and write grants for Utah Dispute Resolution. I am on the board of the Utah Chapter of the AFCC, where professionals teach and learn best practices for helping families safely and peacefully resolve complex challenges.
