NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR ORDERVILLE JUSTICE COURT VACANCY

Orderville, UT—The Kane County Nominating Commission has selected three nominees for an upcoming vacancy in the Orderville Town Justice Court. The position will replace Judge Steven Wallace who will retire effective Oct. 17, 2017.

Following are the nominees followed by place of employment and residence:
• Alan Carl Johnson, Garfield Memorial Hospital PRN and Manager at Kenny Rays, resident of Panguitch
• Honorable Ronald L. Read, J.D., Washington County Justice Court Judge, resident of St. George
• Honorable Thad Don Seegmiller, J.D., Washington City Justice Court Judge and General Counsel at Sunwarrior (Sun Brothers, LLC), resident of Washington City

A comment period will be held through July 17, 2017, before a final candidate is selected by the Mayor of Orderville, who has 30 days to make an appointment. The appointment is subject to ratification by the Orderville Town Council. The Utah Judicial Council must then certify the appointment.
