NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR PLAIN CITY JUSTICE COURT VACANCY

Plain City, UT—The Weber County Nominating Commission has selected three nominees for an upcoming vacancy in the Plain City Justice Court. The position will replace Judge James Beesley who will retire effective July 1, 2017.

Following are the nominees followed by place of employment and residence:
• Honorable Michael Sam Junk, J.D., Ogden City Justice Court Judge, resident of Ogden
• Bryan Jon Memmott, J.D., Attorney at Law, resident of Kaysville
• Honorable Trent Dee Nelson, J.D., Roy/Weber Justice Court Judge, resident of Kaysville

A comment period will be held through June 26, 2017, before a final candidate is selected by the Mayor of Plain City, who has 30 days to make an appointment. The appointment is subject to ratification by the Plain City Council. The Utah Judicial Council must then certify the appointment.
