Rule 37B. Hearings withremote conferencing from a different location.

(a) In hearings other than thosegoverned by Rule 29B, the court, for good cause and on its own initiative or onmotion, may permit a party or a minor?s parent, guardian, or custodian toattend any proceeding by remote conferencing from a different location unlessotherwise prohibited by law or rule.

(b) For good cause and withappropriate safeguards, the court may permit testimony in open court by remoteconferencing from a different location.

(c) The remoteconference must enable:

(c)(1) a party and the party?s counsel tocommunicate confidentially;

(c)(2) documents, photos and other things thatare delivered in the courtroom to be delivered previously or simultaneously tothe remote participants;

(c)(3) interpretation for a person of limitedEnglish proficiency; and

(c)(4) a verbatim record of the hearing.

(d) If the court permits remoteconferencing, the court may require a party to make the arrangements for theremote conferencing.
