Rule615. Excluding Witnesses


Ata party’s request, the court must order witnesses excluded so that they cannothear other witnesses’ testimony. Or the court may do so on its own. But thisrule does not authorize excluding:


(a)      a party who is a natural person;


(b)      an officer or employee of a party thatis not a natural person, after being designated as the party’s representativeby its attorney;


(c)      a person whose presence a party showsto be essential to presenting the party’s claim or defense;


(d)      avictim in a criminal or juvenile delinquency proceeding where the prosecutoragrees with the victim's presence;


(e)      avictim counselor while the victim is present unless the defendant establishesthat the counselor is a material witness in that criminal or juveniledelinquency proceeding; or


(f)       a person authorized by statute to bepresent.
