Rule 14-606. Prior disciplineorders.
Absent aggravating ormitigating circumstances, upon application of the factors set out in Rule14-604, the following principles generally apply in cases involving priordiscipline.
(a) The district court orSupreme Court may impose further sanctions upon a lawyer who violates the termsof a prior disciplinary order.
(b) When a lawyer engages inmisconduct similar to that for which the lawyer has previously beendisciplined, the appropriate sanction will generally be one level more severethan the sanction the lawyer previously received, provided that the harmrequisite for the higher sanction is present.
