JUDGE L. KENT BACHMAN

JUDGE L. KENT BACHMAN - Judge L. Kent Bachman is an Active Senior Judge. He was appointed to the First and Second District Juvenile Court in August 1977 by Gov. Scott M. Matheson. He received his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1968. Judge Bachman was a Deputy Weber County Attorney and Chief Deputy City Attorney for Ogden City. He was in private practice from 1968 to 1977 in general civil and criminal litigation and during this time and was a referee for the First District Juvenile Court from 1969 to 1971. Judge Bachman was the chair of the Board of Juvenile Court Judges from 1981 to 1982 and again from 2004 to 2005. Judge Bachman is a former member of the Judicial Council. He has served on the state court re-districting committee which resulted in the creation of the eight judicial districts. He also served on the Uniform Fine and Bail Committee and the Family and Juvenile Court Committee considering the creation of a family court. Updated 10/21/21
