Susie Adams began her career as a medical technologist. She sold laboratory supplies and equipment for Curtin Matheson Scientific for 12 years. She became involved in the non-profit community helping form 'People Helping People', working on a national level to establish '211' with the FCC and bringing the phone number to Utah. Susie joined the Utah Dispute Resolution Board in 2005. She took the training and discovered the satisfaction of mediating. She mediates small claims at Matheson, West Valley, West Jordan and Farmington. Susie teaches conflict resolution at Horizonte.

Teresa received her mediation training from UDR. Teresa obtained her PHR Certification in Human Resource in 2001 from The Society of Human Resource Management and has completed Federal Civil Rights Training. Kathy Elton is the owner of Kathy Elton Consulting. She worked for the Utah State Court system for over 20 years and served as the Director of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for seven years. She was guardian ad litem for hundreds of children involved in custody, abuse and neglect actions, was county legal contractor for the Office for the Aging and county Estate Tax Attorney. She obtained her JD degree from Syracuse University College of Law. As a practicing litigator, she was often appointed by the NYS Supreme Court to act as an arbitrator. She has completed the basic UDR training and is mediating a variety of cases.

George A. Lopez was born and raised in Utah and is familiar with its unique community. He has been active in negotiating and resolving various types of conflicts and disputes since 1979. Chris's legal experience includes the representation of clients in such matters as personal injury and malpractice claims, complex divorce and family law matters, and business litigation. As a current practicing attorney, Chris brings knowledge of Utah law and current legal trends to the mediation process which aids his mediation clients in the resolution of their disputes. A military veteran, Chris offers reduced mediation fees to members of the military and to veterans. Chris primarily serves mediation clients along the Wasatch front from Ogden to Provo.

John E. Schindler has practiced law continually since graduating from law school in 1976. Mr. Schindler maintained an office as a sole practitioner since his admission to the Utah state Bar in 1982 until closing that office in December, 1999. During those years Mr. Schindler's practice emphasized domestic relations. Since January, 2000, Mr. Schindler has served as a deputy Carbon County Attorney. Mr. Schindler has performed as a mediator since 2003. Most of the cases mediated have been domestic relations cases; however, his service as a mediator, in other areas of the law, is available.

Kent B. Scott is a shareholder in the Salt Lake City, Utah, law firm of Babcock Scott & Babcock. He is currently serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the Utah State Bar Association's ADR Section. He has also chaired the Litigation, Construction and Delivery of Legal Services Committees of the Utah State Bar. Mr. Scott is an active member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Scott is a member of the American Arbitration Association's Panel of Mediators, (1966) Regular and Large Complex Construction Case Arbitration Panels (1987) and serves on the American Arbitration Association's National Faculty of Construction Arbitrator Trainers.

Jill Sheinberg is an attorney (admitted in New York) who specializes in mediation in Utah. She received her basic mediation training in New York City where she worked for five years as a community mediator to resolve disputes between family members, neighbors, employees, and landlord/tenants. She has completed the Utah Court-Annexed ADR Program and a Business Mediation course at the Cape Cod Institute. Ms. Sheinberg has trained teachers, law students, community-based organization staff and community residents in conflict resolution and communication skills. Ms. Sheinberg serves as a volunteer Mediator with the Utah Juvenile Court Mediation Program. She is a member of the Academy of Family Mediators, the Society for Professionals in Dispute Resolution and the National Association for Community Mediation.

Mary Zenorini Silverzweig received her JD degree from the University of Utah. Her private practice focuses on corporations, contracts, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant and family law. She also serves as a private Guardian ad Litem, is a certified Victim's Advocate and a Juvenile Truancy mediator. Prior to becoming an attorney, she had twenty years' experience as a management consultant doing negotiation and team building for small family businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. Her mediation training is through Utah Dispute Resolution and the Salt Lake Community Action Program. Mediation areas include business, contract, small claims, landlord/tenant, employment and consumer/merchant disputes.

Melanie Smith holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Utah in Conflict Resolution, mediation and negotiation. Additional mediation training includes Workplace Mediation through Salt Lake County as well as Domestic Mediation through UDR. Melanie has over 20 years experience in peer counseling and coordinating high stress communication. She is currently a workplace mediator for Salt Lake County and has experience mediating a variety of disputes including debt collection, visitation, custody, and divorce issues. She is also a non-attorney member of the Utah State Bar.

E. Gary Smith, 30-year trial veteran (Utah and California), has extensive mediation experience and training, including Utah Basic Mediation, Utah Domestic Mediation ("UDR?), UDR Mentorship, and California Dispute Resolution programs, and mediation ethics and pleadings courses. His Utah practice is exclusively mediation and arbitration of all civil matters, with special expertise in divorce-related disputes. He has tried over 40 jury trials and hundreds of domestic cases. He honed his mediation skills while director of the Orange County (CA) Bar and as a temporary judge in Los Angeles family law courts, and is a Certified Family Law Specialist (California).

Kelly Cope Snider received her Bachelors from BYU in Marriage Family and Human Development, minor in Psychology, and her Juris Doctorate from Western State University, College of Law. Kelly has spent several years working in the field of family law. After getting an inside look at the traditional practice of divorce, she decided to focus her legal practice on mediation and trained at Innovative Solutions Training. She then created the Peaceful Dissolution Program with the hope to aid couples through the divorce process in a more cost effective and time efficient manner.

Virginia Sokolowsky is a mediator with experience in Small Claims, Parent/Teen, Family, Custody/Parent-time and Landlord/Tenant mediation. She has a degree in English from BYU and is currently working on a Behavioral Science/Psychology degree at UVU, with emphasis in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Virginia received her basic and domestic mediation training at UVU, where she also participated in Advanced Mediation classes, including two internships at the Fourth District Small Claims Courts. In addition, she has mediated in high school truancy programs and at the BYU Center for Conflict Resolution.

Meggan McLean Stein has been mediating disputes in Utah and Washington since 1998. She has a JD from BYU Law School and a Master's Degree of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School's Strauss Institute. At Utah Dispute Resolution, Meggan coordinated a Peer Mediation Program in collaboration with Horizonte Learning and Training Center. As the acting Executive Director, Volunteer Coordinator and Trainer at the King County Dispute Resolution Center in Seattle Washington, Meggan trained, oriented and mentored aspiring mediators. Meggan also developed and coordinated an Agricultural Employment Mediation Program for the state of Washington. Meggan mediates domestic, workplace, victim/offender, and community disputes. Michele Straube has focused exclusively on mediation and facilitating shared decision-making for the past ten years. She has developed and taught numerous mediation, negotiation skills, and conflict prevention courses, in addition to teaching about dispute resolution as an adjunct at the University of Utah S. J. Quinney College of Law. She has extensive mediation training and experience in a variety of areas, including adult guardianship, workplace disputes, environmental and public policy issues. She also mediates EEOC cases for the US Postal Service, and has conducted volunteer mediations on a variety of topics through Utah Dispute Resolution.

Rebecca's practice focuses on domestic, community and housing mediation. Rebecca has five years experience as a family law paralegal. She enjoys working with families and helping parents find healthy resolutions in custody matters. Rebecca Symes is a graduate of the University of Utah, where she earned a BS in Sociology and a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. Currently, Rebecca is working on her Master's degree. Rebecca received her mediation training at Utah Dispute Resolution and works with UDR's SLC Court mediation program as well as Salt Lake CAP's Landlord/Tenant mediation program. Rebecca accommodates evening and weekend appointments.
