The library has received 44 Court of Appeals briefs. The docket numbers range from 20080857 to 20110303 (list not inclusive).
If you're looking for a specific brief, contact the library by phone (801-238-7990) or email to make sure we have it. If you can't come in to make copies yourself, we offer a document delivery service for 25ยข per page and will scan the briefs and email them to you.
During the 2012 General Session of the Utah State Legislature, HB 33 was passed, which amends the dates and times for sale and discharge of state approved fireworks. A list of prohibited fireworks can be found on the Utah State Fire Marshal's website.

This Wednesday, June 20th, at 3:00 pm, the Utah State Legislature will meet for a Special Session that was announced this past Monday. Article VII, Section 6 of the Utah Constitution allows the Governor to convene a Special Session.

June is Utah Refugee Month, as designated by a 2011 declaration by Utah Governor Gary Herbert. Events will be held throughout the Salt Lake Valley all month long, and several of these events are hosted by the Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County public libraries.

The Utah State Law Library offers free forms help every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30 through the end of July.
Our volunteer helps people with the Online Court Assistance Program (OCAP) and other forms, including modification and enforcement of child support, child custody and parent-time, expungement, and name change.
While our volunteer can't tell you what words you should use, or advise you about the best way to get results, she can explain what information the form is asking for. Uncomfortable using a computer? She can type in your answers for you.
