Appellate Court Clerkships
Law Clerks at the Utah Appellate Courts
Clerkships at the Utah Supreme Court and the Utah Court of Appeals are full-time positions generally for at least one year. The appellate judges hire their own clerks. Please see the information provided below for the details on applying for a clerkship in each chamber. Applicants must have completed at least 4 semesters of law school prior to submitting application materials. The current salary for law clerks is:

The positions will likely be filled by October. Applications may be filed anytime after January.

Letters of reference are not necessary at time of application, but name and contact information for 3 references is required. Applications from third-year students accepted during August-October.
